Flowers

24 Sep

Andrew has commented several times that the flowers are always purple around here. So, this fall, I decided to give him his own Garnet and Gold Garden. (As if there weren’t enough of these colors around town.)

This week’s You Capture assignment was flowers, so I played around with these a little in Photoshop.  Original:

Bright:

Dull:

This seems like something you just have to learn in PS:

And, finally, each spring I give E her own garden patch to take care of.  By the end of the summer it looks like this:

Creative!!! I love these. I’m hoping to buy some mums this weekend to fall-ify my front steps 😉

Love the one against the house! and the highlighted flower. Great concepts!

I took some of sunflowers [dying] in Ohio because it’s hard to find any more flowers around right now!

Thanks for helping me at M3RH– My ISO was at the highest setting, thanks for clearing that up for me, I am still figuring out manual mode. I was trying to compensate for the poor light– is it always a trade off between low light or grainy pics? Or is there a secret formula other people know about? P.S. I love your E’s end of summer garden,– looks an awful lot like our vegetable patch which never produced.
